Reader Email: Who’s Got The Better Voice, Bing or Buble? (Videos)

If all things were equal with regard to their respective ages, looks, personalities, who has the best voice…Bing or Michael Buble?

Well, that’s pretty difficult for me to really say because of my Michael Buble obsession… I mean, it’s hard for me to think “equal” there, but in trying, I decided to check out some old Bing movies on YouTube…

This is a film clip from “The Road To Hollywood” showing Bing Crosby singing “Just One More Chance” and “I Surrender Dear”. These were originally part of some comedy shorts produced by Mack Sennett in the early 1930s. It’s likely that Bing was around the same age as Michael is now (if not a little younger) around this time. And of course, Bing was no ugly duck.

I still find it difficult, but Bing’s got a certain tweak he does with his voice that kind of makes me take more notice. His voice is “clean” and beautiful, there’s no doubt. I don’t think anyone will ever truly come close to matching his skill and talent.

I do love the piano in here, which I think his voice compliments beautifully. I also like the “whispery” tone to his voice at times, going from that to the clearer, higher pitch.

Gah, this is a really hard question to answer!!! I love them both, for their own reasons. Bing’s voice was totally original and only Dino’s ever been compared to it (and not in a good way, really). I have to say though…

Michael gets it. His voice gives me shivers and tingles and makes me just fall apart. Bing’s is beautiful, but Michael’s MOVES me… if that makes sense?
