New Crooner Culture Feature: Vintage Art
Since rediscovering AllPosters.com
, I’ve rediscovered some of my favorite vintage art. Be it something truly vintage, or inspired by it, I’ve always had a deep love for the stuff.
I can picture the homes of certain crooners carrying this artwork on the walls, so I’m going to try to connect the two as I think it might’ve been done. If I can’t do that, I’m going to post art that reminds me of a certain crooner, and will explain why. Sound fun? Good!
Okay, first up, I’ve got Johanna Kriesel’s “La Chanteuse de Jazz.”

This one clearly reminds me of even older classic crooners like Ella Fitzgerald or Billie Holiday. I’m thinking of the Cotton Club, you know? It’s a great, bright, primary colored print that would look fantastic in a home office or even a contemporary half bathroom I think.
