Lena Horne bio flick to feature Alicia Keys
ALICIA KEYS TO PLAY LENA HORNE. PageSix.com is reporting that Alicia Keys will play Lena Horne in a movie about the music legend. Janet Jackson was previously rumored to take the part. According to the site, Oprah Winfrey, who has taken over the project, wanted Keys in the lead role. The talk show host said, “We are going to start filming next year. And we have got Alicia.” Horne, 90, has been deeply involved in the casting process and had asked Jackson to remove herself from the project after the Super Bowl controversy.
I actually DO see the resemblance, don’t you?

With Ms Horne being an absolute favorite of mine, I have been saying for the past four years that it should have been Alicia and not Janet Jackson. If you truly look at the two, Alicia bare a striking resemblence to Ms. Horne and her tone and diction are spot on as well. It is one film I wait for with baited breath.

If you look at a picture of lena horne when she was 24, the resemblance is shocking:

There is an a obvious change in the shape of Lena Horne after that picture was taken. Plastic surgery? Very likely.
This is the perfect role for Alicia Keys. This is an Oscar type opportunity.
