It’s a Marilyn Monroe Movie Marathon tonight on AMC!
8:00 PM Gentlemen Prefer Blondes
10:00 PM The Seven Year Itch
12:15 AM Bus Stop
If for some reason you either can’t watch, or can’t get enough, you can buy a nice collection of Marilyn Monroe films, including those above, plus “How To Marry A Millionaire”, “There’s No Business Like Show Business”, and “The Final Days” as part of The Diamond Collection
Oh, and in case anyone’s interested, AMC’s featuring Robert DeNiro tomorrow night! Looks like I’m gonna need a LOT of popcorn! :)

ahhh Ms. Monroe. The perfect woman, not too skinny, absolutely gorgeous ( if only she were a red head), playboy’s first centerfold. Not only was every man in America in love with her ( JFK, you lucky dog ), every woman in America jealous of her ( Jackie O. probably didn’t like her too much ) but she also played a major role in the world of punk rock. If Glenn danzig had not been infautated with her, he would have never named his first band The Misfits, nor would he have ever written such classic lyrics as,” Found her dead upon her chest, her face all turning blue, you think it was an overdose, but could have been the pact? Could it have been the Kennedys? Was it the LAPD ?” ( lyrics from ” Who Killed Marilyn” )

It Was? Goshdarrnit. I totally missed. What was I doing that day anyway? See, what happens when I forget to visit? I hope there’s another Marilyn marathon sometime.
