Happy Birthday Bette Davis… and me!
Today marks the 100th birthday of Miss Bette Davis, and the 2nd anniversary of my 29th birthday!
For some reason, whenever I think of Bette, and I do every year on this day, I think of that 80s song, “Bette Davis Eyes”. Well, I used to think of that song first. Since I got a little older, and less wrapped up in the music of my youth, I now tend to think of her more than of the song.
Some cool stuff is going on in honor of her birthday: Miss Davis’s fans will be gathered in front of Mann/Grauman’s Chinese Theater between 12 p.m. – 2 p.m. (PST) , the exact spot she placed her hands, foot prints and signature in concrete in 1950. TCM is showing Bette Davis movies ALL DAY.
Anyway, I know she wasn’t a “crooner”, but it’s pretty cool that I share the same birthday as a legendary film star in the verymost “classic” sense, don’t you think?

Hi, Lara, Ella is my all time favorite since I was three. Which was a considerably long time ago ;)
Happy Birthday–celebrate for as many days before and after as you can. I started that tradition when I turned twenty four, and this year was still receiving both birthday and Xmas presents as late as March 25.
